We ran our last long run before the half marathon today--10 miles. Most of us have obligations tomorrow morning so we opted to run a little earlier today. It was a nice run--great weather and we had some nice hills that were hard but not too hard. Since it was "only 10 miles", most of us didn't plan on any water (we were just being lazy), but I grabbed some grapes for some calories and refreshment along the way and they turned out to be just perfect. I've done my last two runs with my running skirt on and it passes the test. I've had no problems with it and it is SO comfortable! It's only fault is that it is almost TOO free feeling! Sometimes I wish a little bit more of the back of my legs was covered. Oh well.
Now it will feel weird not to go for a super long run tomorrow morning and I feel like I need to do something to get some exercise... There are some pickup games scheduled for my soccer league but Peter may have to work... We'll see! And speaking of soccer...last night at my game, I got kicked in the knee and have cleat stripe bruises along my knee. It's a pretty nasty bruise. It's right on top of the very recently healed bruise from when I was clobbered less than 2 weeks ago at soccer. Soccer sure is a dangerous sport! Every time I get hurt I think "Oh no! Will I still be able to run my marathon?" Hopefully the injuries will not get any more serious!
