Stroller Run
Well, Peter is out of town doing this, so I have two weeks of either running with the jogging stroller (which I typically do not enjoy) or finding babysitters to watch the kids while I run by myself. Today was day 1 of trying to figure out how to get my run in, and it went pretty well. I took Ally and Miles out in the jogger right after getting home from taking Ella to school. I was hoping Miles would stay awake the whole time so he could go down for his nap in his bed and get a full nap instead of a 20 minute nap, but that didn't happen... Anyway, I did the full 5 miles on an almost entirely flat route, and somehow I managed to do it at a 10:04 pace! It actually felt pretty good, even though it was definitely more taxing on my body and more tiring overall than a "free" 5 mile run. It was actually good enough that I'm not dreading tomorrow's run (although I was a little right when I finished, but I'm pretty sure that's because I was running the last mile pretty fast so I could bring my overall pace as close to 10 min/mi as I could). Anyhow, I doubt I'll update the blog with the results of every run, but I was actually pretty proud of that pace for running it with a stroller! That's a pace I'm usually very content with for a normal non-stroller 5 mile run.
